🛩 Lift My Life Up 🛩
By Unspoken Surrender. 1. a : to yield to the power, control, or possession of another upon compulsion or demand surrendered the fort b : to give up completely or agree to forgo especially in favor of another 2. a : to give (oneself) up into the power of another especially as a prisoner b : to give (oneself) over to something (such as an influence) Wow, that sounds like what the apostle Paul was talking about when he wrote, “For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.” — 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 Surrender is the opposite of Lawlessness. Surrender to God is to give Him complete control. Remember Esau, (Genesis 25-27) refused to surrender to God and sold his birthright for a bowl of stew? How many times do His people sell out for a bowl of stew instead of surrendering to Him. Lawlessness is going to be one of the ‘earmarks’ of the last days of history before the return of the Messiah, Jesus. A generation refusing to obey authority. Are we nearing that point? I have no idea but I do see lawlessness has increased dramatically even among those who call themselves Christians. Matthew 24:12-14 12. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. 13. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. These are biblical truths. Lawless, doing what we want instead of what the Lord wants or even what common sense would dictate. That’s correct, the Lord ‘invented’ common sense for us to use! An example: I don’t need a revelation from Heaven not to buy a motorcycle. 1. I can’t afford a motorcycle. 2. My reflexes have deteriorated. 3. A motorcycle does not advance the Kingdom of God in my life. That’s how the ‘common sense’ the Lord gave me works. Common sense, given by the Lord to listen to and obey demands that I ask questions of myself. Being a disciple and “…learning to observe (or obey) all that I commanded you” compels me to listen and obey; it’s not hard or burdensome because I have surrendered. Luke 14:25-33 Discipleship Tested 25. Now large crowds were going along with Him; and He turned and said to them, 26. “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. 27. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28. For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? *Common Sense from a mind being renewed not a mind driven by lust* 29. Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, 30. saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ Brother and sisters, “Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” This is a new day, Surrender to the King of Kings! Discipleship is real and one step in our relationship with Jesus. ✝️ 🔥 ✝️ 🔥 ✝️ 🔥 ✝️ I lift my life, lift my life up Have your way with me Have your way with me Have your way with me Have your way with me Take my life and let it be all for you Praise Jesus ❤️ Jesus! ❤️ John love-never-fails.net “And even when I am old and gray...I will declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.” Psalm 71:18 Comments are closed.
