How Can I Keep From Singing
By Chris Tomlin Singing—it seems so fundamental to Christianity. One whole book of the Bible, the Book of Psalms, contains 150 of the greatest songs ever written. We still use them today thousands of years later and will even more as we enter further into Worshipping the King. They are the foundation from which all of our songs soar from. Our Father puts a new song in our heart the moment we’re born again. He continues giving us new song after new song as we deepen our relationship with Jesus. As our love matures the name of Jesus just flows more freely in conversation, in fellowship and in song. Song is the language of love, it comes from our heart and flows to Jesus. The following scriptures seem radical in the use of song but that’s only because it’s a truth thats been misplaced. A truth that’s been stolen. Hey, it’s the Word of God—that means it’s for you and me! Praise Jesus. Jesus! Ephesians 5:18-21 18. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19. speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord 20. always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; 21. and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ. Colossians 3:15-17 15. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. 🎶 ❤️ 🎶 ❤️ 🎶 ❤️ 🎶 I can sing in the troubled times Sing when I win I can sing when I lose my step And I fall down again I can sing 'cause You pick me up Sing 'cause You're there I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord When I call to You in prayer I can sing with my last breath Sing for I know That I'll sing with the angels And the saints around the throne How can I keep from singing Your praise How can I ever say enough How amazing is Your love How can I keep from shouting Your name I know I am loved by the King And it makes my heart I am loved by the King And it makes my heart I am loved by the King And it makes my heart want to sing I can sing Praise Jesus. ❤️ Jesus! ❤️ John love-never-fails.net “And even when I am old and gray...I will declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.” Psalm 71:18 Comments are closed.
