🎶 Do It Again! 🎶
My heat is full of Hope this morning, Hope for today and Hope for the future. I’ve carried promises from the scriptures in my heart for decades. Promises that I’ve been waiting on Him to fulfill, and He’s doing it today, right now. It’s wonderful to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, hallelujah! The following is about a personal promise He made to me when I was caught up with Him—a promise about what would happen as I followed Him. Yesterday may have been the Capstone. Zechariah 4:7 7. “...and he will bring forth the Capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” 🎶 Your promise still stands, great is your faithfulness 🎶 OK, here goes. Yesterday I had a profound experience with the Lord. You may remember the story I’ve told about being in a large conference and being directed by the Holy Spirit to get prayed for by a man who I'll simply call John Doe. He then guided me backstage and when I came out through the curtains onto the stage, he was standing there waiting for me. He laid hands on my head and as soon as I raised my hands to Heaven a bolt of electricity set us both back a few feet. And that was it, over in an instant but changed forever. It was a wonderful experience. My left palm was ‘oily’ for years after that and it still is at times when I pray for folks even now. And I can almost always feel the heat of the Presence of the Lord flowing through my hands when I lay them on someone. However, I had never really embraced the gift the Lord deposited that day. It was and still remains a wonderful experience. This happened about 20 years ago or so. Yesterday, in a instant He changed my heart concerning this. It’s no longer just a wonderful experience. It was much more important than that. I don’t have words yet for the change in me but I’m sure He’ll explain it as time goes on, He always does. For now, I’m just more filled with Hope and Joy than I was before He spoke to me. That’s how it always is, hallelujah! 🎶 Your promise still stands, great is your faithfulness 🎶 We handle so many of His promises just like I did, selfishly. Like a little kid with a new toy. Enjoying the experience but missing the ‘eternity’ in the experience. That’s the arrogance of youth and one of the reasons I continue to stress the utmost importance of humility. Humility happens as we spend time with Him and leave ourselves behind. Humility is, ‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, here on earth as in Heaven.’ 🎶 This is my confidence, You’ve never failed me yet! 🎶 🎶 Your Promise still stands, great is Your Faithfulness 🎶 Love Him.
